Natalie Davis recently retired after 45 years is now the Howell T. Heflin Professor Emerita of Political Science at Birmingham-Southern College.
Natalie has been active statewide in the education reform movement and in local community programs dealing with youth development and homelessness. She has served on a number of boards including Leadership Birmingham, Youth Leadership Forum, NCCJ, the A+ Research Foundation, and The Women’s Fund. She was a founder of the Alabama Women's Initiative and The Alabama Solution.
Davis has been a recipient of many honors and awards, including “Career Woman of the Year” and one of Birmingham’s “Top Ten Women.” She was a member of Leadership Birmingham’s first class and the 1992 Class of Leadership Alabama. In 2002, she was named a "Woman of Distinction" by the Girl Scouts of America and inducted into the Alabama Business and Professional Women's Hall of Fame. She was also in the 1st group of the BBJ’s “Top 40 Under 40.”

Dee Edwards is a Senior Tax Professional in the state of Alabama who have been preparing taxes amongst family, friends, and low income communities for over a decade as a non-paid tax preparer and professionally for approximately five years.
In 2012, she and her husband, Michael, launched a nationwide tax firm to provide accurate tax preparation services to individuals and small business owners. Since her time in the industry, Mrs. Dee has launched several tax offices including a Latino division. Amongst her many career accomplishments, she enjoys training new tax business owner n ai reparer it aunchin hei usines n ucceedin h a ndustry.
As a Tax Professional and Instructor, she is sought out to assist with developing and teaching various individual tax courses to paid tax preparers. Her heart’s desire is to educate other tax preparers by providing practical teaching and education through the IRS Tax Schooling. This drives her mission to help increase the opportunity of communities having well-informed and knowledgeable tax preparers that are successful and in compliance according to Circular 230. As the founder of the IRS Tax Schooling, she is the only independently owned continuing education providers in the state of Alabama to provide numerou R pprove a ourses.
